Gay Update: Probably Gayer

lana banana on being gay

The three suspects in the beating of a gay couple in Philadelphia surrendered to authorities on Wednesday (24 September) and it turns out one of the them is the daughter of a local police chief.

Kathryn Knott, 24, is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and criminal conspiracy along with Philip Williams, 24, and Kevin Harrigan, 26.

Her father is Chalfont, Bucks County Police Chief Karl Knott.

The daughter has posted a series of homophobic tweets on her Twitter account in recent years including: ‘The ppl we were just dancing with just turned and ma(d)e out with eatch other

Her Twitter account is also filled with numerous photos of alcohol and tweets about how drunk she and also includes derogatory comments about Asians and racists tweets such as ‘My cab driver starting shouting some jihad shit so I starting singing America the beautiful #merrica’

The incident unfolded at 10:45 pm on 11 September when a group approached the couple. ‘Is this your fucking boyfriend,’ someone in the group asked.

The gay men, both in their late 20s, were were taken to a hospital after they were attacked and held as other suspects punched them in the face, head, and chest.

The suspects cannot be charged with a hate crime because sexual orientation is not covered in the state’s current hate crime law.

This is fucking shameful. Something needs to be done about that. It’s not acceptable for it to not be a hate crime because that is exactly what it is.

“Bette. Turn around…”

It’s so beautiful to kiss someone who actually means a lot to you.

I hope you look for me in everyone else and panic when you realize that they’ll never be exactly the same.

You know the whole -
break a plate and
apologize to it,
to see if it heals - thing?
I used to think
it was a bad analogy,
but you taught me differently.
Sometimes the only way
to fix things
is to cut your hands
on the pieces they
they helped shatter.
Sometimes the only way
to fix woulds
is to feel the way they hurt.

I’m grossed out by the kind of stuff tumblr does to its users over an extended period of time

Grammar and punctuation is completely lost on some people, to the point where their posts are unreadable and irritating

And tumblr fosters and feeds this incredible narcissism and need to impress people- people who don’t really matter in the grand scheme of things.

this was the greatest joke I have ever heard
